The Metaphors has been played on NTS in shows including Soup To Nuts w/ Anu, featured first on 3 September 2024. Songs played include You Have Everything (That A Man Can Have).

The New York band opened for some of the legends like The Stylistics, The Delfonics, Kool & The Gang, Five Stairsteps, The Unifics, The Persuasions, The Main Ingredient, and even James Brown. Members were Phil Valentine, Donald Jefferson, Tom Weathers, Jimmy Ingram and Jerome McCloud (deceased). Ronald Alexander Davis was their manager.
