Halvtrak has been played on NTS shows including The Wire Magazine Present Rewired, with A Thousand Years first played on 10 October 2013.

Halvtrak , who also produces records under the moniker 0.5w is Henri Puolitaival from Tampere in Finland. His style is heavily influenced by early Detroit and Chicago techno and he has appeared on such labels as Acid Waxa. Most of his recordings are done live in one or two takes at his home studio, which give the tracks a raw unpolished quality.
