Variété has been played on NTS in shows including Supporter Radio: Peace, featured first on 2 January 2026. Songs played include 11:30.

The band was considered the leading cold wave group in Poland. The first album called Variete was out in 1993, recorded with jazz musician Andrzej Przybielski. The music was a combination of new wave/ jazz and lirycs of Grzegorz Kazmierczak, poet and singer of the band. In 1994 Variete records live album Koncert Teatr Stu this time with saxophonist Mikolaj Trzaska. The next album Wieczor przy balustradzie is a band's turn to rock music. In 2004 the group started to work on their new album, which was finally out in march 2005
