1) Michael Cassidy is a singer-songwriter from Paisley, Scotland in the United Kingdom. He is signed to D Set Records and recently recorded his first video for the song "Everybody's Scared". Cassidy describes his music as "alternative folk with influences from pop and rock."

Michael Cassidy was brought up in a musical family and played a multitude of instruments from a young age. He started out playing accordion, but quickly grew tired of it and progressed onto piano and guitar. From the age of 14 he and some friends started a band and Cassidy immediately found himself taking a leading role in the song writing process within the group. He cites this experience as helping him learn the process of making music and claims it was an important step in his "song writing education", helping him to become critical of his own pieces and obtain a perfectionist attitude toward them. He is due to start recording his first album in May of 2011.
