Unagi

Unagi is a producer and DJ based in San Francisco. He started making beats in 1997, as a member of Western Massachusetts super-crew Discs of Tron. Flexing a unique sound heavy on obscure samples and homemade beats, he has released three albums on his own label 442 Records. These include "Unagi" (2003), "Keepin It Eel" (2004), "It Came From Beneath The SFC" (2006).

In 2007 he dropped two EPs, "Unagi For Lovers" and "You and Eye," plus the single "Pouring You Mo Champagne" with Motion Man, from the forthcoming concept album "Adult Situations."

He has also appeared on numerous compilations, and contributed music for use in television, film, and commercials. Unagi's track "Stay Focused" (feat. Linkletterz) was featured on a nationally televised ad for MTV, while "Crazy Chase" was the theme song for a show called "Skate Maps."

In Spring of 2009, Unagi dropped the double single "Grown Man Flowin" featuring Motion Man b/w "Song of Satisfaction" with Eddie Meeks. His eagerly anticipated new album "Reinventing The Eel" is set to be released in June.
