Yves Robert (* 17. January 1958 in Chamalières) is a french Posaunist of Modern Creative Jazz.

Robert studied until 1976 at the Vichy Conservatory and then continued to be active in the Jazz clubs of Lyon and Nancy. He got in touch with the Jazz Avantgarde through the Association à la Recherche d’un Folklore Imaginaire (ARFI) and its Big Band Marmite Infernal.
