Zonal has been played on NTS in shows including Erased Tapes, featured first on 14 October 2019. Songs played include Black Hole Orbit, Wrecked and Body Of Wire.

Kevin Martin and Justin Broadrick worked together as Techno Animal from the early 90s to mid-00s, creating a very inventive and punishing twist on industrial music, blending dub, breakbeat and hiphop together. Zonal is the next chapter of their collaboration, taking their sounds further. They released a small run CDr called The Quatermass Project as one of the first two Avalanche Recordings releases in 2000. This was the first of a scheduled multi-part set of releases. Nothing else was ever issued.
