Selected recordings from Joe Frank, the cult radio presence with a "voice like dirty honey". From the mid-1970s, Joe Frank's absurdist, smoke-filled memoirs and semi-fictional narratives on stations such as KCRW made him one of radio's first auteurs, beguiling a small cadre of devoted fans, and inspiring a generation of broadcasters with his demonstration of radio as an artform.
