smokedope2016, born May 28, 2001, is an American rapper hailing from Virginia Beach. He originally started making scam rap on Soundcloud in early 2022. After a few months in the game, he acquired a Joeyy feature on the song IM NOT GOD BUT I WISH I WAS (feat. Joeyy), which further cemented his spot in the underground rap scene. Since then, he has garnered a dedicated fanbase, established his own style and sound, and is one of the biggest names right now.

He is known for his album trilogy, comprised of THE COMEUP, THE PEAK and THE COMEDOWN, the latter two leading to sold-out tours across North America and parts of Europe.

smokedope2016 went on to establish his own rap collective, record label and clothing brand under the name 2016LYFE. The group consists of smokedope himself, fellow rapper Ghostfacekush and producers BARTESIANWATER and LIL FITTED CAP. They frequently collaborate with close friend Nokia Angel, releasing a song on YouTube titled "chf" on the channel "boredinthechalet". smokedope has an abandoned side project, Fairfieldd, who he jokingly denies is him.
