Kenny Tudrick has taken it upon himself to write, perform, record and produce his debut solo album (almost) entirely in his living room. It’s a self-titled double album due to be released July 24th, 2012 on Fountain Records, an independent label from his hometown of Detroit, Michigan. This album is a labour of love, a soul on a platter. It’s full of the sounds of stretching and pushing and pulling. It’s also accented with segues that were bound to make their way through the reservations that a touring musician, until now, had bottled up. Kenny plays drums, bass, guitar, does all vocals, some organ and a little mellotron on the self- titled record. His skills have made him a valuable member of many bands over the years in regards to performing and writing. The passion that drives the heart of the man who, at the age of nine had the determination to master his craft, are reflected on this new album. The sound he’s achieved with his production style, like there’s an entire band in the room…live…is deliberate and bold and displays his diversity as a songwriter and performer.
