A Middle Sex has been played on NTS in shows including Black Impulse, featured first on 31 March 2018. Songs played include Wake Late, Cry Waves and Soul Sways West.

A Middle Sex are the Manchester trio of Matthew Ashworth, Karl Sveinsson and Edwin Stevens. Originally functioning as a noise/no wave duo with former drummer Philip Sykes, their sound has since blossomed and incorporated a range of influences such as dub, minimal techno, field recordings, tape loops and drone, stapled together with the free sensibility of improvisation. A 12" split LP with London's Temperatures has just been released on the Manchester label, Carnivals.
