One of the Brazilian soul music godfathers, along with Tim Maia and Hyldon, Cassiano has scored success in the 70's as interpreter ("Coleção" and "A Lua E Eu", soundtrack of the soap operas "Loco-Motivas" and "O Grito", respectively), and as composer ("Primavera" and "Eu Amo Você" by Tim Maia, and "Morena" by Gilberto Gil).
