Joe Bauer has been played on NTS shows including The Cosmic Principle w/ Nick Mitchell Maiato, with Earthquake Blues first played on 29 October 2017.

Joe Bauer (b. September 26, 1941, Memphis, Florida) was an aspiring jazz drummer with experience playing in society dance bands before joining The Youngbloods as well as their many projects on their own Raccoon Records, including his solo jazz album called Moonset. He, reportedly, died of a brain tumor in 1983.
