Ollie

Ollie has been played on NTS in shows including DEBONAIR, featured first on 11 February 2018. Songs played include Microdot and Life In Balance.

There are multiple artists named Ollie:

(1) A Canadian musician (2) An Estonian rock artist (3) A Finnish pop artist

(1) Ollie tells the story of a Port Dover native whose life changed after a car accident led to an “awakening”. He left university and began focusing on music, which was always a passion but not something he seriously considered. Developing the mantra “More Than the Music” he sought to become a rap artist that’s lyrics reflected struggles and hope, instead of sex and drugs. His songs reflect dark times, relationship ups and downs, and the importance of remaining real in the face of fame and money. He’s what I call “spoken-word rap” (conscious rap) where it feels as though the artist is speaking to his listeners about life experiences or with an important message.

Ollie quickly became an inspiration to many. His concerts reflect an intimate vibe, where he’s gracious and kind. Personally, a stand out moment was when everyone began singing along to the first song. He stopped for a few seconds, his face displaying shock and then began to thank the crowd for letting him do what he loves.

(2) Oliver Mazurtšak (born 26 August 1993), known professionally as OLLIE, is an Estonian singer, songwriter, guitarist and record producer. His father is Jüri Mazurtšak, the drummer from the Estonian band, Night Star.

He is known for placing second twice in Estonia's Eurovision national pre-selection, Eesti Laul, in 2023 and 2024 with the songs "Venom" and "My Friend" respectively.

(3) Olli-Matti Kalliosaari (born 29 April 1994) is a Finnish singer-songwriter. He has released two albums, both of which reached the top 10 of the album charts in Finland.
