Jade Fox

Jade Fox

Jade Fox has been played on NTS in shows including Chicken Foot Soup w/ Goya Gumbani and Dom P, featured first on 29 October 2018. Songs played include Ride With Jade, Emmys and Swang Lo.

The Jade Fox you see today primarily formed to perform in the St. Olaves School Cabaret in Dec. 04. It was around this time when Marcel and Tim B started to work on what would later become the Jade Fox EP that would grace hundreds of CD players all over Bromley. Tim J of Stunned Bunnies fame was brought in on bass and Tom W took care of drums. The tracks show a combination of different styles, with Chav being a soft, melodic ballad commenting on the state of the society we live in, a contrast to the heavier Passing Time, where their harder influences shine through. It was around July 05 that the progress Jade Fox had made started to stagnate. One issue was that another Jade Fox playing a completely different genre of music had been signed to Trificante records. Although such a thing as the name of the band seems trivial, no-one could seem to come up with a new one (for brief periods it was Justboy, and Five Kids Go) this combined with "lazyness" and summer holidays led to a vastly unproductive period. However after performances at the St. Olaves cabaret 05, Ampfarm in Penge and a new lineup (newcomer Tom Hayday took over bass duties from veteran Tim J who moved to the drums) there has been a revival of the Fox, owed hugely to the Myspace revolution, and the realisation that a lot more people appreciate the music then was first assumed. The future is uncertain for Jade Fox.
