More than one artist has used the name "Glide".

1) Glide, born in September, 1975, is a Japanese music producer, DJ and drummer. He is considered a prominent figure in the development of breakbeats and first gained notice with the release of his debut track "The Experimental Phaser", which was constructed entirely from a laptop and some turntables.

2) Glide was a guitar band from Sydney, Australia, who were active during the mid-1990s. They released two albums (Open Up & Croon, and Disappear Here), as well as a compilation of EP tracks and b-sides, called Shrink Wrapped Real Thing.

After the tragic death of William Arthur in 1999, the primary member of the band (singer-songwriter), a final album entitled Last that contained unreleased songs, was released.

In 2025, a documentary called Disappear Here, by director Ben de Hoedt, was released. It covered the band's career and their demise, with interviews of past band members and other Australian musicians.
