Musical discovery: KUMAR SUBLEAVO BEAT
Earlier this year I played this amazing festival in Cuba called Mañana which was one of the most eye-opening experiences. I hadn't heard of like 80% of the artists on the lineup, so I was really looking forward to getting involved and seeing what's what. I stumbled into the main hall one day and was completely mesmerised by this artist jumping around barefoot on stage, with this contagious, infectious energy and raspy Spanish voice. I couldn't take my eyes off him. His music was completely mind-blowing. The way he commanded the stage and controlled the instruments was almost pornographic. I was into it.
Mixtape discovery: Lamont - Vol I
Lamont's productions have been on the circuit for a hot minute now. I've been supporting his music for a while but the free mixtape he gave away on Swamp back in September has got to be one of my favourite releases this year and it's really only the beginning of what he's got in store. Some of the stuff he's working on into the New Year is nuts!
Tune discovery: IAMDDB x INKA - Leaned Out
Came across IAMDDB though my Manchester circles and absolutely fell in love with her and this song. The title couldn't be more fitting, it is the ultimate chill song. She's got a bright future ahead. Watch this space.

From Goldie to Attenborough there's something in there for everyone! If you've not already got one, then one of your mates definitely has.

As if animating your own music video, producing some of the biggest club tunes and delivering the hottest Rihanna remix wasn't enough, he had to outshine us once again with his attention to detail. I'm completely in awe of these little quirky, animated flyers he keeps creating. Completely embodying what it is to be an artist he never ceases to amaze me. I bet he's a decent cook and all!
