Heavy Metal Dark Ambient Noise

Heavy metal interludes - short instrumental or ambient tracks falling between longer tracks on an album - are a place of meditation and stillness before the sonic onslaught returns anew. These songs afford the musicians an opportunity to explore their gentler and more experimental tendencies, and the listeners an opportunity to pause and reflect. This mix is comprised of nearly three dozen such interludes. Taken together, they form a surreal kind of liminal space - the soundtrack of dreams.
