DJ and curator Edna Martínez, from Cartagena de Indias, presents champeta, a genre born inside the picós, the sound systems of Colombia’s Caribbean coast where music is presence, tension, gathering. It carries fragmented routes shaped by circulation and bootlegs. It becomes body, dance, code, a way of occupying a space that has never been neutral.

From the host: "Luis Pestaña Morales aka Loro Piano is a living legend of Champeta. He joined Rey de Rocha at 14 as part of the picó crew, helping out and learning the trade before becoming a drummer and sampler. His sounds have shaped iconic Champeta hits for decades."
