There are multiple artists called Prince Charles.
1 Prince Charles (born Charles Richard Sheffield, Jr. on 16 February 1931 in Houston, Texas, USA, died 27 March 2010 in Beaumont, Texas, USA) was a rhythm & blues singer also known as Charles Sheffield and Mad Dog Sheffield. He first recorded for Goldband in Lake Charles, Louisiana, in 1955. Further sessions followed at the same location and in Jay Miller's Crowley, Louisiana, studio until 1961, with a last session for Tear Drop/Jet Stream in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1965.
2 Prince Charles is a musician who currently lives in Los Angeles.
He has been putting out demo tapes in the Los Angeles area since 2004 and has been in bands such as "The Tigers", and "I Miss You" a short-lived side project of Blake Miller from "Moving Units". Prince Charles is currently in the mysterious band "Child Bride". Rumored to only play unknown gigs at invite-only locations. Generally odd places like the outdoor guerilla gig in Ravenna, CA and at a cafe in 2009 on a remote stretch of road in the Angeles National Forrest. An image is available of the cafe on google maps, within the street view section. The address is: 23122 Angeles Forest Hwy, Palmdale, CA. Pretty much in the middle of nowhere. The band plays about 8 shows a year so try to find one if you can.
Copper Press, an indie magazine out of Williamsburg, Michigan, apparently had an opportunity to see the Palmdale show and wrote in an article: "….and a long drive into the woods, similar to a bad 80's horror movie finally led us to a roadside cafe. The band was supposed to go on at 10 but there was no sign of a band or a show. We asked the waitress about it and she had no idea. There weren't very many people in the restaurant either. Maybe 10 or 15, most of them looked like regulars. Suddenly we thought to ourselves that we made a mistake and had no idea why we were at a diner in the mountains of southern california looking for a band who supposedly plays Libertines covers."
