Wards

Wards

Wards has been played on NTS shows including Yesterday's News, with Weapon Factory '94 first played on 5 May 2021.

Wards are the Original (as in first) punk rock band from the state of Vermont. Wards formed in the seventies and still play live from time to time. T. Curley, the lead singer for Wards, is a contemporary and friend of Gary Lane, who was an inspiration to the late shock legend GG Allin.

Guitarist Bob "Beano" Parker, who also played for other Vermont bands such as X-Tractions, Roman Shades, Gas and Oil, and Nation of Hate, died in January 2014. Vocalist Tom Curley has said that he doesn't think he will "ever be able to write another song without Beano. He was the best. He was Burlington.".
