Asmorod is a dark ambient project from France, founded by Nicolas D. Faure in 1994. The first demo tape, "Dance in the Winter Fog", was released in the same year. It was a mixture of dungeon synth and black metal. In 1997 Asmorod released the first full-length album titled "Involution Toward Chtonian Depths", which saw the participation of Cédric Codognet and Vanessa Hidden.
