Ensemble Klang has been played on NTS shows including Geologist Presents: The O'Brien System, with Litanies of Trees (2019) first played on 22 June 2021.

Formed in 2003, Ensemble Klang's unique instrumentation ranges from a quiet, fragile intimacy to the punchy power of a big-band. They perform complex music, requiring virtuosic accuracy and precision, with the energy, drive and passion of a band.

The group has performed extensively across the Netherlands, and also in Belgium, the Czech Republic, the United States and the United Kingdom. Recent highlights include: a residency at the Janácek Academy, Brno, with composer Martijn Padding; the recording of a cd of the music of Cornelis de Bondt with legendary Dutch ensemble LOOS; and a gig in the Ken Festival in the Cottier Theatre, Glasgow, where the ensemble were deemed 'slick and convincing, delivering an impressive aural assault' by the Scottish Herald.
