They started in Northampton, England in 1979 and quickly got asked to do a session for BBC Radio 1 by legendary DJ John Peel. As well as the single, they released 3 home produced cassette albums. The Russians have just been featured in the December 2022 issue of Record Collector magazine as the single is now rare and valuable
