Galaktlan

Galaktlan

Galaktlan has been played on NTS shows including Pacing The Platform w/ upsammy, with 40 000 Lampi first played on 21 July 2021.

At first, Galaktlan (an electronic artist from Estonia) project was created as a Taavi Laatsit's side project to Uni. Galaktlan was formed to perform on a very special underground party called "Night Alert", which took place in an abandoned military rocketbase hangar.

The mystical and deep atmosphere of this event was the reason why Taavi wanted to continue the Galaktlan project. Galaktlan's first tracks were rather dark and minimal, but later the ideology of Uni's space and robo-romance emerged with experimental and sometimes a little bit darker side forming music containing deep and thoughtful, melancholic melodies mixed with experimental electroesque rhythm layers.

Mysticism, experiencing unknown states, evoking deep and melancholic feelings are the things that urge Taavi to create Galaktlan's music.

Taavi is also the leader of Galaktlan Grupp - a space-rock band, which plays Galaktlan's music live.
