AFAR

AFAR

AFAR has been played on NTS in shows including Trevor Jackson , featured first on 23 November 2021. Songs played include All Of Yours and Rational Ecstasy.

At least two artists: 1) Black Metal from the US 2) KrautWave Duo from Germany.

1) Formed in January 2006, Afar began as Alx (bass) and Slaughterfaust (guitar) playing with a drum machine. After a long search, a competent drummer was found, and a vocalist followed shortly after. The musical style changed from symphonic black metal to include technical elements in 2007, with experimentation with odd timings, inspired by the band's musical diversity. The band is based out of Lowell, Massachusetts.

Lyrical themes include Sumerian mythology and misanthropy.

2) Check https://afarlive.bandcamp.com/ "Consisting of a collaboration between two musicians, AFAR seeks to bridge the distance between the natural and the industrial, exploring the paradox between organic and electronic. In some spaces, AFAR might build dance-oriented rhythms layered with haunting vocals. Whereas in others, the band creates moments of ambience composed of multi-instrumental soundscapes." Analog & Live.
