There are 3 artists using the name Lilienthal:
1) Lilienthal is the solo electronica/jazz project of NYC producer and painter Arrow Kleeman. He has released the album Castor & Pollux and two EPs - The Tin Grey Black and Anti-Matter. A joint artist/remix with Sybarite and Sonna, Make Shift Carousel EP, was released in 2002.
2) Daniel Roth and David Oesterling formed the pop-duo Lilienthal at the end of 2008 in Berlin, Germany, after the split of their former band Dorfdisko. In February 2008 the first four demo-recordings were uploaded at their MySpace-page.
3) Formed in Göttingen, Germany in 1976, Lilienthal was founded by the members of two German bands Kith and Kin and Rakish Paddy. The popularity of Irish folk - which both the earlier bands had played - encouraged them to try German folk as well. During its 25 year career, Lilienthal experimented with renaissance dances as well as more progressive folk rock.
Members of Lilienthal include Wolfgang Beisert (harp, guitar), Herwig Steymans, Hans Joerg Mauksch and Rainer Schoebess. The death of singer Herwig Steymans in June 2003 marked the end of the group.
