Suis la lune is a Swedish band from Stockholm and Gothenburg. The band was formed in February 2005. During that year, the band released their Demo CD and self-titled 7", and performed on their first tour in the UK. In 2010, their 10" EP Heir (2008) was re-issued by Swedish label Black Star Foundation. In January 2012, Suis la lune started recording their sophomore full-length album and announced it would be released by Topshelf Records. The album, titled Riala, was released in May of that year, after which the band toured the UK, Europe and Russia. In September 2012, Suis la lune announced they would go on a temporary break. During the hiatus, band members focused more on side projects like Sore Eyelids, Years Passing and Trembling Hands. After 1½ years, the band picked up the instruments again. In 2015, Suis la lune released an EP titled Distance/Closure on Topshelf Records and a year later, they released a split with the band Shirokuma via Dog Knights Productions. In 2017, a compilation titled The First Five Years came out, featuring all music the band released between 2005 and 2010, with the exception of Quiet, Pull The Strings!. On August 12, 2018, the band announced they had broken up via social media.
