Based in Melbourne/Naarm, Australia, Tam spent his formative years playing with the bands Pop Singles and The Stevens. He released his debut solo album in 2015 and a sophomore album in 2017. In the time since he has released a collection of 80+ home demos, focused on playing with local bands Permits, Girlatones, Carpet Burn, Leah Senior, and Chook Race, as well as contributed to the music and debut album of his late father . Tam's third album 'Laughing Gas & Apple Pie' was released late in 2021. It is a 10-track album underpinned by high energy drumming and fuzzed out / distorted guitars with all instrumentation played by Tam. The foundations of the album were recorded with Jesse Williams in 2019, followed by overdubs and mixes by Tam, then mastering by Mikey Young.
