There are at least 2 bands called FILTHY LUCRE
1.) FILTHY LUCRE (Bands Facebook page) Dark, dirty, fuzz-fueled riff-rock with just enough of the blues to get you movin’ and groovin’ - Filthy Lucre are a heavy blues rock powerhouse duo that will have you wondering exactly how two dudes from Adelaide, South Australia can produce so many unstoppable decibels in one continuous onslaught of noise.
Following the bands birth in early 2012, Filthy Lucre have charged through the years relentlessly, playing shows across Australia including support spots for internationally renowned acts such as Truckfighters (SWE), Tex Perkins, Ash Grunwald, Dallas Frasca, Jon Toogood, Mia Dyson, Jackson Firebird, and The Beards.
2015 saw the band travel to the United States in October to record their debut 14-track album "Mara" in Ashland, Oregon with internationally renowned producer Sylvia Massy (Tool, System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Prince, Johnny Cash), due for release on 30th January 2016.

2.) FILTHY LUCRE were founded in 1992 when British born vocalist Phil Lewis extracted himself from the semi-successful Los Angeles outfit L.A. GUNS following their 'Hollywood vampires' album. FILTHY LUCRE were actually forged as a side avenue venture during recording of L.A. GUNS fourth album 'Vicious Circle', coincidentally produced by Jim Wirt.
Guitarist Steve Dior had worked with Lewis previously in LONDON COWBOYS (a kickabout band that at various times included Glen Matlock of the SEX PISTOLS, MICHAEL MONROE of HANOI ROCKS and personel from acts as diverse as THE CLASH to GIRL). Drummer M.C. Bones is another ex-L.A. GUNS colleague. At one stage FILTHY LUCRE featured bassist Sasha Krivstov, a veteran of the multi-platinum Russian band ZIMERENIA, and subsequently of CLOCK.
