Definitely part of the new Deep House music scene that is emerging from France at the moment, Laurent, aka Kool Vibe, was born in Paris in 1970. He discovered House Music in 1989 listening to radio stations such as Maxximum 105.9, FG 98.2 and Nova and dancing to the fresh new sounds of House and Acid House at the legendary Boy's club thanks to DJs such as DJ Deep & Laurent Garnier. First emotions on the dance floor : Mr. Fingers (Larry Heard), Sueno Latino, Adeva (Smack Productions), Ten City, Robert Owens (Frankie Knuckles, David Morales), Inner City, Photon Inc. (DJ Pierre), Three Generations (Kerri Chandler), C+C Music Factory (Robert Clivilles & David Cole), Coldcut feat. Lisa Stansfield. During the 90s, his addiction to the Garage and Deep House clubs of the French capital, notably Le Queen and the Kit Kat after parties, where he spent hours dancing to the sets of DJs such as Candy Eric (RIP), David Serrano (RIP) and André, led him little by little to become a record collector and then a producer. Kool Vibe's music today reflects the best of the 90s House Music sound that he manages to capture so well. In 2011 and 2012, his first releases have been cult tracks out on My Love Is Underground and Traxx Underground. In March 2013, he launched his very own label KV records, dedicated to underground Deep House and releasing on vinyl only.
