Mieczysław Weinberg (also Moisey Vainberg, Moisey Samuilovich Vaynberg; Russian Моисей Самуилович Вайнберг; Polish Mieczysław Wajnberg) (December 8, 1919 in Warsaw – February 26, 1996 in Moscow) was an important Soviet composer of Polish-Jewish origin.
