A Grammy finalist, de Grassi is renowned for his innovative techniques and compelling, orchestrated compositions using counter melodies and cross-rhythms.

De Grassi plays a mixture of original material and US folk, holding a pivotal role in kick-starting New Age Steel-String Acoustic music. The techniques he pioneered are now commonplace in what is considered contemporary playing.
