P.A.F. is a second solo project of Pata, a guitarist of legendary japanese heavy metal band X Japan. P.A.F. was started in 1998 after disbanding of X Japan. It's activity was stopped in 2000 when Pata with Heath formed another band called Dope HEADz.
2. PAF is made up of three contemporary European musicians, trumpeter Paolo Fresu, pianist Antonello Salis and bassist Furio Di Castri, who have been performing together at various times over the last fifteen years. They are all highly accomplished instrumentalists as well as being talented composers. Their first studio recording shows the influence of Miles Davis, crossed with free jazz plus elements of classical music, tango, Latin rhythms, Sardinian roots music; all treated with an ever present sense of humour.
