Music Revelation Ensemble has been played on NTS in shows including We Are… w/ Paul Camo, featured first on 11 June 2022. Songs played include Big Tree and Sound Check.

The Music Revelation Ensemble was one of the earliest free-funk bands, inspired by and building upon the ideas of Ornette Coleman & Prime Time. The leader and only permanent member was guitarist James Blood Ulmer, who wrote the majority of the band's material. The bands shifting lineup included: Ronald Shannon Jackson, Grant Calvin Weston, Jamaladeen Tacuma, David Murray and Hamiett Bluiett.
