Ichiro Nitta (新田一郎) was born on May 2, 1954 in Nara, Japan and is a trumpeter, composer, and producer who contributed greatly to the kayokyoku genre of music. He was first a part of the group SPECTRUM (スペクトラム), a Japanese fusion band lasting from 1979-1981, where he played trumpet with Hatsumi Shibata, Yukari Ito, and Marlene on vocals accompanied by other musicians.
