MICHAEL BONAVENTURE Born 1962 in Edinburgh, UK, Bonaventure studied with Herrick Bunney (organ) and Judith Weir (composition). For 10 years he has been the resident organist at All Saints Church, Blackheath, in south east London. Inspired by artists such as Karl-Erik Welin, Bengt Hambraeus and Jean-Pierre Leguay, Minimalism, Experimental and Electronic Music, he has developed a very personal compositional aesthetic and become a tireless advocate of new music, leading numerous composers to write for him.
