Joke Flower has been played on NTS in shows including Sara A, featured first on 29 July 2022. Songs played include Dirty Hands.

Once called "the punk rock Henry Cow" by Germs drummer Don Bolles, Joke Flower was formed in Tempe, Arizona in 1984 by guitarist Dan Clark (formerly of The Feederz), singer Mary Clark and bassist Casey O'Neill. They went through a succession of drummers until Charlie Gocher (Sun City Girls) joined the group and became a permanent member.
