The Black Angels hosted a guest show on 21 April 2017. The Black Angels has been played on NTS in shows including Black Impulse, featured first on 5 July 2014. Songs played include Science Killer, Manipulation and My Tornado.

The Black Angels are a psychedelic rock band from Austin, Texas, formed in May 2004. Their name derives from the Velvet Underground song "The Black Angel's Death Song". The band consists of Alex Maas (vocals, guitar), Christian Bland (guitar), Kyle Hunt (keyboards), Nate Ryan (bass) and Stephanie Bailey (drums).

Their most recent album to date, 'Death Song' was released in 2017 on partisan Records.
