Utopian has been played on NTS shows including Yesterday's News, with Unnatural Base Pair first played on 7 September 2022.

Utopian's members are all from from a North-Eastern town called Hartlepool.

After playing in a few separate bands for a number of years, the members of Utopian decided to organize a practice together in the back end of 2008.

The practice went well so the members decided to continue playing together and gave themselves a name.
