Hydrophonic

Hydrophonic has been played on NTS in shows including DJ FART IN THE CLUB, featured first on 16 September 2022. Songs played include Bug Juice.

Based in their hometown of Cape Town (South Africa), brothers Regan and Gareth (Aka Chesh) started their musical careers as teenagers playing rock gigs in clubs at night while studying jazz at school in the day.
Their musical careers quickly moved into the eletronic genre with Regan initially playing trance/house on his own radio show at UCT and Gareth, also with a show at the same station, was Djing breakbeats and the like. After this Gareth studied sound engineering for 3 years while Regan teamed up with Anselm Guise, the future Nano Records partner along with the 2 brothers. With Hydrophonic, they incorporate everything they love about music and sound design to create good vibes on dancefloors the world over. While trying to find the balance between full-on and progressive psy-trance, Hydrophonic produce a unique sound that has fast gained them worldwide recognition.
Hydrophonic released their debut album "Aquabatics" on NANO in 2004 and have been playing parties and festivals across the globe ever since. At the moment the brothers are busy crafting their new album which is due for release in 2009.
