Cultured Pearls has been played on NTS in shows including Shanti Celeste, featured first on 8 December 2022. Songs played include Tic Toc (Out Of Time Remix) and Mother Earth (Hoff's Optimistic House Edit).

The Cultured Pearls are a german band playing a mix of soul, rock, jazz, and funk, but also some trip-hop and country elements can be found in their songs. Astrid North (vocals, lyrics), Tex Super (bass, trumpet, keyboards, guitar) and B. La (drums, keyboards) came together in 1992 and got their first record contract in 1995. Their first single "Tic Toc" made it into the top 40 in germany, the later singles "Sugar Sugar Honey" and "Kissing the Sheets" became catchy tunes.
