Yuji Koseki (1909 - 1989), was a Japanese composer. Born in Fukushima, his career was prolific and up to 5,000 songs were set to music by Koseki. Yuji Koseki contributed very much to the development and popularization of music in Japan. In the 1940s he began scoring soundtracks for films - most notably to Westerners, "Godzilla" films in the 1950s.
