C.Marshall is Calvin Marshall, a mysterious Jamaican reggae artist who recorded just two songs at Studio One (or at least, two that were released). 'I Need Your Loving' and 'Tra La La Sweet '69') were both credited to C. Marshall, although they also appeared with the full name Calvin Marshall printed on the label.
Some ten years later there was a Calvin Marshall in Jamaica who released the 'Born In The Ghetto' 7-inch, pressed on the CZM and Bamboo labels (1978). Another single ('World Roots' b/w 'Dub Roots') followed on Bamboo in 1979. Was this the same Calvin Marshall? We do not know.
