Jaime Brugada Valdez (August 7, 2000 – April 25, 2023), better known by his stage name MoneySign Suede, was a Mexican-American rapper born in Montebello, California, raised in the Huntington Park area.
Suede started making music at the age of 16 after attending a MadeinTYO concert. He continued to work on his craft for the next couple of years, eventually releasing popular songs like "BACK TO THE BAG" and "Poppin." He slowly built a name for himself, eventually landing a record deal with Atlantic Records.
On March 21, 2022, Suede released his debut eponymous EP MoneySign Suede. This project featured popular songs such as "Rewind" and "Too Late." A few months later on September 22, 2022, Suede released his debut studio album, Parkside Baby.
In December of 2022, Suede was sentenced to serve two years and eight months in jail for two counts of possessing a weapon as a felon. He released Parkside Santa on December 20th to end the year.
On April 25, 2023, Suede was tragically killed while serving time at the Correctional Training Facility in Soledad, California. He was 22 years old.
One year after his passing, the MoneySign Suede estate released his first posthumous album, The Chosen One, on April 25, 2024. It featured popular songs such as "Outside" with 03 Greedo and "Lotta Cash."
On April 25, 2025, two years after Suede's passing, his estate released his second posthumous album, Mi Familia Por Vida. It featured popular songs such as "So Many Times" and "On Pz."
