Gambletron (CA) is a non-binary sound artist/ musician known for their improvisational noise and work with radio transmission. They are known for their transmitted "field trips," experimental karaoke, "multi-tonal AM Radio Theremin" and noise performances through large piles of radios. They explore the use of reconfigured radios and live transmission as a sculptural platform for the purpose of performance and environmental exploration. Gambletron's music and artworks almost always function as a pirate radio station, evocative of subtle methods of resistance to corporate and state control of communications technology. Lately, they've been exploring themes of "breaking the internet" with Johnny Forever, feeding virtual worlds and social platforms through hybrid portals of digital and analog technology. Gamble is also a musician. Their solo noise project started in 2003 as an opening act for THUDRAH, a band they later joined. Currently, they are writing movie soundtracks, orchestrating sound experiments for dance and playing as a multi-instrumentalist in a big band, musicology project called Orkestar Kriminal They have also played with some bands on Constellation records, like Carla Bozulich’s Evangestisa, Hrsta, Clues and Matana Roberts they also played with Nive Nielsen and the Deer Children.
