There are at least two bands named Angkor Wat:

1) A thrash metal band from Texas, US 2) Screamo band from Lima, Peru

Texas, United States of America (1986 - 1990) 1) Angkor Wat was a crossover thrash band from Corpus Christi, Texas, consisting of Adam Grossman (vocals, guitar, bass), Danny Lohner (guitar, bass), David Brinkman (vocals), David Nuss (drums, vocals) and Mike Titsworth (bass).

The band began life in 1986 as a cover band, playing in Corpus Christi's nascent hardcore punk scene. After the first release, "When Obscenity Becomes the Norm - Awake!", Titsworth and Brinkman left the group.

Angkor Wat broke up after their second album, "Corpus Christi". Grossman and Lohner went on to form industrial metal group Skrew.

2) Angkor Wat is a Peruvian screamo band formed in 2009. They released a self-titled EP in 2011 and a 4-way split the same year.
