La Luna (literally, in “Spanish” means “The Moon”) was founded on January 2nd, 2000 in Bandung, Indonesia.
The band originally consists of Manik Purwakrishna (vocals), Iyan Sopiyan (drums), Erwin Januar (bass), and Mufti Syarief (guitars), but as of 2006, Erwin Januar left the band.
The band has released several albums: “Penggalan Kisah Lama” (2001), “Dua Musim” (2002), “Menanti Pagi” (2003), “Menanti Pagi Repackaged” (2004), “Indah Pada Waktunya” (2005), and a single “Membekas Di Hati” (2007) which is included in a compilation album from various artists titled “Singles Tersayang 2007”.
