After appearing on the immensely popular British 'Opportunity Knocks' TV programme on 7 August 1965, The Candy Dates released two singles on Pye Records that year: 'A Day Like That' b/w 'Well I Do' and 'Some Other Time' b/w 'Show Me How To Live'.
The Candy Dates were a Belgian 1990s band from Ghent. Members: Fred Maenhout (vocals & guitar), Fernand Buyls (drums), Johan Susant (bass), Staf Verbeeck (keyboards), Frank Pinson (guitar, backing vocals).
