Modfunk is a Warsaw based duo making music since the early days, but the real adventure with the dance music started in 1999.

Their first inspiration was the French dance scene. Back in the days almost our each production had a spirit of a "Le French Touch". Despite all, at that time MODFUNK were the pioneers in music bizz on the Polish club scene. First releases came on inserts and on other bigger and smaller compilations. But sooner or later they released an album in 2002 as debut material. Not much of the success: lack of promotion and poor distribution, but the recognition came from: dance, art and media society in Poland. Year later they’d decided to “conquer” the world with the music. First deal came with P.O.D label from U.K, but label went bankrupt and nothing happened. So prime international release came on a small label called MACHINE GUN IBIZA RECORDS also from U.K. Good distribution and good promotion. There was releases under the new names; TIGERMAAN, PIMO & together as MODFUNK. Each track had a surprising rating in DJMAG: 4 points out 5 and good international feedback. Next step was just to establish their own label as a already good known producers. And they did it under a name SEEK Records. You can find all releases under www.seekrecords.net. Now they testing grounds of international music market and already promoting EMOFUNK album as MODFUNK again but today together with Philippe Zdar from CASSIUS, John Webb & Demon known from a big MTV hit of "You are my high".
